Replacement lift supports for daybed bought from Wayfair
As an anniversary gift, I bought my wife a daybed for our back deck, the Gatun 66'' Wide Outdoor Wicker Patio Daybed with Cushions to be exact.
Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the lift supports provided, with 1 good and 1 bad. They sent us another 1 that was also bad. Then they sent us a whole new daybed!
My wife was frustrated building the whole thing and not having the lift supports work, so I did some research on this site. The awesome part was the description of how to measure the lift dimensions and I was able to narrow down the lift to something that was very close. I wasn't sure about the force, so I just bought the lowest one since it's not lifting a car door, just a cloth and metal framed canopy.
We got the lift supports, put on stainless steel eyelets, and with the instructions provided were able to install to the daybed and it works perfectly (when you compress the canopy, the lift supports automatically raise it back like in the video we watched). Overall, the wife is super happy about getting it worked out.
I also loved the instructions provided on how to install them (that were seriously lacking in the daybed instructions). I also emailed support for suggestions and they helped recommend to pick the lowest force model for our daybed replacment.
It was a bit of an ordeal, but can't beat the results. Thank you Toni and Lift Supports Depot!
