When installing new supports on the trunk of a 2004 - 2009 Cadillac XLR Trunk, a small torx stopper needs to be removed to allow the support to fully extend and be replaced. Failure to remove these stoppers will keep the installed support under pressure, making it nearly impossible to remove. The new supports must be installed fully extended, and once secured, the stopper bolt can be reinstalled.
